Throwback Thursday "Cricutless Challenge"!

Ok after sending my toddler off today to her 1ST day of preschool I needed some therapy so I headed to my craft room.

I thought I only had a littl while so I went ahead and played along with Emma from http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ and her Thursday Throwback challenge. It's been a while since I've played so I thought why not.

This challenge was to use the colors Purple, Green, Orange, and Black and to not use your electronic gadets.. Do you know how hard that is? Really. I love my Gypsy and Cricut and normally make all cards with it.

So I put together this cute little card.

I used some left over Graphic 45 Paper (purple),
I had a few Joliee fall harvest stickers (the pumpkins and wagon).
Orange Twine
I used Emma's cute little All Around Halloween stamp - and cut my own tag out. (Let me just say that was a couple of releases ago and I'm SOOOO Happy I got them). They are just adorable.

OH YES have you seen or heard her new release is this FRIDAY!!!! Go visit her blog and see all the GREAT sneaks.

Hope you have a great day

Emma's Throwback Thursday Old School.

Emma from www.creativetimeforme.com is at it again. For this weeks Throwback Thursday she requested we make something OLD school. NO Cricut, Imagine, Gypsy etc.
The 2nd requirement was to follow this sketch.
I can say I love Sketch challenges, but this one was hard. It was hard because I so wanted to break out the cricut and use her.
I made this card for a friend of my mom who just broke her hip.
The setiment on the inside is from Emma's stamp - pain pain go away and says, "Many healing thoughts are coming your way". I thought that was perfect for it.
I used SEI paper Sunny Days.
The button and ribbon is also from that line
The border punch is from Martha Stewart - punch around the page.

Throwback Thursday

Well the other day I had to make a quick and I mean quick birthday card for a birthday party my daughter was invited to.

So I thought about the theme of her party, her nick name and made this cute little cupcake card.

Little Miss Riley was turning 4. I tried to make a banner of cupcakes, but it really didn't turn out that great. Little Miss Riley liked it and the cool present so I think it was a hit.

I used paper from SEI (Corine line), the blue and red, were just in my stash. Since she's not into PINK that much they did the color of the party blue and red. So I think this turned out really cute for her.

I used the lite cartridge Cupcake - which just happens to be the theme for Emma's Throwback Thursday. Yes, I looked at that before I made the card (teeeheee). The requirements were to use a lite cartridge and bling. Well I blinged out the cupcakes with stickles.

You can enter or visit her at www.creativetimeforme.com.

Thanks for stopping and

Throwback Thursday - Doodlecharm

I love the Throwback Thursday that Emma from http://www.creativetimeforme.com host most every Thursday. Lately I haven't been able to play in my scrapbook room due to other obligations (family, work, home, you know life).

Well today I was actually able to go and play while my daughter was napping.

I love the cartridge Emma chose for this throwback. It is Doodlecharms and if you are playing along and don't have that cartridge you can use any older cartridge and she asked that we use the color "Blue".

Well the minute I saw the requirements for the challenge I instantlly thought about a friend of mine who just had a baby GIRL. She has two sweet little guys (that are 100% boys), but now there world is about to change with ribbons, bows, pink and girly stuff.

I made this cute little baby from the Doodlecharms cartridge - sized at 2 1/2. I put her on an Action Wobble to make her head bob.

I used:

PK Happy Lashes for the face (isn't she just a cutie). Thanks to my local Scrapbook Store now caring PK - I can get them when I need a quick fix.

The "Sweet Little Princess" stamp is from Emma's All Star Baby.

EK Chalk for the cheeks

Copic R32 for the tounge

White gel pen

Rhinestones

A cute little "flowery" blue button

Pink Twine

The paper is:

Bright Pink Shimmer from TPC Studio (love love love this paper) It shimmers and is 2 sided a dark/light color combination.

SEI Happy Days (for the bow)

Beige card stock.

Throwback Thursday - Green

The inside is pop up tulips:

It has been a few weeks (OK month) since I have sat down and did a challenge.
Well one of my favorite challenges is Emma's from http://www.creativetimeforme.com/. Here Throwback Thursdays are always so much fun. This theme you can pick any older cartridge, but you have to use the color GREEN.

Any time I feel stressed our or upset I hide in my scrapbook room for some comfort and relief. So I made this card for a friend of mine who just lost her unborn baby boy last week. She was only about 16 weeks pregnant. I made this card just to cheer her up.

I didn't have any stamps that were "Just because, or Thinking of you". So I used the stamp set "Take the Cake" from Sarah at http://www.pinkcricut.com/. I think this worked out well for her situation. I didn't want a sympathy card, I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her and just wishing her some sunshine and smiles during this time.

The card was similar to one of the Make 'N Takes, that Robyn from www.mypinkstamper.com
hosted. It was super easy and is really cute.

The little tulips "pop" up - which I have seen previews of the new cricut cartridges and they have a "POP" up style card in them. That is cool.

I used:
Create a Critter for the birdie
Bloom cartridge for the tulips
The banner is from SEI Corinne embellishment pack.

The new paper line Corinne from SEI will probably become one of my FAVORITES!! I love it.
The Card base is A2 size/ the paper is 2 sided called (SEI) Sunshine.
The Patterned paper is the (SEI) Flight of Fancy - it is 2 sided - so the pretty flowers on the one side, and rainbow on the other. It is just so PRETTY.

The pink tulips and green stems are from "The Paper Company" metallic papers - the dark pink is Pomegranate metallic, the green is Kiwi metallic. This paper cuts so nicely on the cricut machine. I love it.

Hope you enjoy -

Emma's Throwback Thursday

She's back with her wonderful Throwback Thursday. Yes that is right Emma from http://www.creativetimeforme.com/. Is back. For this throwback she asked that we use the "dolls" cartridge. I can say I have that cartridge, but I had a really hard time sizing my "clothes" for my dolls. I was going to make a Raggedy Ann/Andy couple, but I got so frustrated and elected to change my "couple". I think this one was cuter.

Have you checked out Emma's new stamps? No? Well, what are you waiting for. These stamps are so adorable. I love them. I bought 2 sets. I bought the "You had me at Chocolate and Color Me Happy.

For this Challenge there were 2 requirements:
Use the Paper Doll Dress up or Everyday Paperdolls and to use either wet or dry embossing.

I used Paper Doll Dress up
The cute little horse was cut at 3 1/2" and unicorn was cut at 3".

The paper I used
Catterbox - Olive Garden Plaid
SEI Pink
White "shimmer" paper

I used some new Twine from Pink Cricut
For the eyes they are just cute little diamond rhinestones
The cute little hearts are "dry" embossed. I don't own a cuttlebug so I did it the old fashion way with the brass stencils and an embossing tool.

I think they turned out pretty cute.

Emma's BACK..

Yes that is correct Emma from http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ is BACK. This weeks Throwback Thursday is Valentine or Heart. She let us use what ever cartridge as long as there was a heart somewhere. Well I had an idea of a "Tic Tac Heart" board. I think it turned our really cute.

The card is at 5" The scallop cut is from Cindy Loo.

The card base is cut from Craft Cardstock

The red is Bazzil

I had some really pretty "Paisley" patterned paper that I have no clue what it is from. It has some red, pinks, blue in it. I just love it though.
Then I used SEI for the pink hearts.

The pink hearts are from Doodlecharms.

The "X" is from Gypsy Font.

I used some Pink stickles to accent them.

The pink Heart in the middle is pop dotted.

Stiching with my white gel pen.

*** Here's a tip - store your pen writing end down and flick it a couple of times and it will really get the ink to flow smoothly. ***

Don't forget Emm'a Ustream on Friday Night.

Throw Back - Thank you w/o Machines....

Before:

After:

This weeks Throwback Thursday hosted by Emma at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/. Is all about OLD School. This Throwback was to use "Thank you" and no Cricut, no gypsy, no electronic machines. Really, how hard could that be? Well it was very hard. I love the stuff I can do with my Gyspy and Cricut.

I played along I needed to make a thank you card for someone who took my hubby and I out to dinner a couple of days ago so I made a simple little card.
I started out with the card and thought I wanted a punch on the edge - so I used my Drippy Goo punch. Well I didn't like it so I cut it off - Sometimes simple is better, right?

I used SEI Poppy paper
SEI Ribbon
A few Rhinestones
The stamp is from Peachy Keen Stamps "Thank you"! I used my gel pen to go over it again and again (it was "blending" with the paper too much because I used the wrong color ink).

Just a simple little card but a nice gesture.

Have you checked out the HELLO THURSDAY CARTRIDGES? IF not you should.

I have a feeling some will be coming to me.

Thanks for stopping and Happy Scrappin'

Throwback Thursday's Challenge

This time theme is FOOD. She asked for us to use "From my kitchen", but again I didn't have it so I used a few other ones. I used for the silhouette "A Child's year" and The utensils from "Country Life". The letters are all different fonts. I just was playing around mainly. I was really stressed today and just sat down and made something simple.

I know I know - not really food on my page, but my favorite food memory.

I just love the silhouette of the little child and the adult "baking".

This recipe is very special to me. I remember when I was a younger girl my Grandma Helen, making Chocolate Chip Cookies from SCRATCH. She was the best CC Cookie maker. I one day wrote down the recipe (she didn't give it out to just anyone). I wrote it on some paper I found nothing special I was probably 8 or 9 years old. Well a few months ago my mom found that paper and gave it to me. The paper is all splattered and yes that was my own hand writting from a while ago. I guess that is why I really like this page.

While my Grandma is no longer with us, I will have this memory FOREVER, afterall isn't that why we scrapbook - to keep those wonderful memories.

I was really just trying to preserve the recipe. I wanted something simple but nice.

I had a thought in my head but when I tried to make it on paper, really didn't look good at all.

So here is the final project.

I used:
SEI Brown, Red, Pink Card stock
The faces on the "O"'s are from Peachy Keen Stamps

Stickles

White gel pen

Not allot of stuff on it, I think It needs something but can't figure out what I want/need for it.

Any suggestions?

I used MY new favorite TOOL!!! MY FLIP PAL scanner. Its great. Takes a little practice to scan a 12x12 but I figured it out.

WEll here's to Happy Scrappin'

Throwback Thursday - Christmas

Ok so I found time this week to do Emma's Throwback Thursday which the theme was Christmas. Go visit her at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/. We were suppose to use the cartridge Celebrations, but I don't have that cartridge, yet. I used Winter Frolic for my Christmas card.

I can't believe we just finished Halloween, and already needing to think about the Holidays and getting cards made. I hope to make a few of these cards. They were quick, and cute.

I used SEI paper line Christmas Mint *** This has to be my all time FAVORITE paper line***
With in the line there is Winter Mint (the Green) my favorite. Its soft green and then green stripes.
I also used Cnnamint (the red/pink)
And Mocamint (the beauitful brown)
The Happy Holidays sentament was also SEI
I just love this paper line and Glitzmatz is so super cute, too.
I used Winter Frolic for the cartridge, my Gypsy and Expression.
The cute little gingerbread girl stamp is from Peachy Keen Stamps (isn't it just a cute stamp).
I used my white gel pen
Copic pink/reds for the colors on the gingerbread girl.

Hope you enjoy and happy Scrappin'

Throwback Thursday - Every Day Paper Doll

Well its Thursday which means its time for another Throwback Thursday with Emma. She had her 1st Ustream last night and if you missed it, you missed allot. She is taking pre- orders for her NEW DVD Gypsy Magic and More. I can't wait to get my DVD. Her darling little guys entertained us for a few minutes, too. They are so cute.

Ok so now onto the challenge. This week was to use Every Day Paper Doll cartridge, and "Animal" was the theme. Well I don't have Every Day Paper Doll - so I used Paper Doll Dress UP.

I made a "tri" fold card. The gates fold over and reveals the cute little cow, She just wants to "Thank Moo". Isn't she just a cutie. I thought she turned out pretty good.

I used:
Everyday paper doll and Alphalicious
Craft Card Stock
Some scraps for the pink/purple
SEI Glitzmas paper pack for the fence
My white Gel Pen
and of Course some Bling - Blinked the hat with my favorite rhinestone's.

Hope you enjoy and Happy Scrappin'

"Princess" Throwback

Well its that time again, with Emma at a www.creativetimeforme.com doing her fantastic Thursday Throwback challenge. She used Tinkerbell cartridge which I don't have so I just went with the "princess" theme.

In my mind I thought a "Monster princess" would be cute and funny but when I went to assembly her, she didn't turn out nice as I was thinking she would. Which is fine because I still think she is cute. After all it reminds me of my daughter, we call her Monster (for the way she would moved her arms as a baby and make a grumble, it was the cutest thing) and because she is a Princess. She's Daddy's Princess.. (Teeheee).

I used SEI paper a few rhinestones after all Princess have bling, right?

Cartridges: Wild Card, Every day paper doll , and Mini Monster...

Happy Scrappin and enjoy.

"Frame It" Throwback

Emma from http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ is back to her Thursday Throwdowns. This theme was "frame it", using Paper Doll Dress Up. I don't have that cartridge, but I did use Everyday Paper Dolls.

I used my Gypsy and my NEW Expression (that I won at CHA)...
I made a scalloped frame that has stars floating in it. I used a piece of clear plastic to give it a "floating" affect.
The inside of the card is a moon/star from Everyday Paperdoll..
I used some plain green paper to make the card, yellow and orange card stock from DCWV, and the Mama's Nursery paper also from DCWV.
Some "stocked" rinestones
White Gel Pen.
Hope you enjoy and Happy Scrappin.

"Birthday" throwback challenge

Ok, Emma's up to it again with her wonderful throwback challenges. This theme is "Birthday" and to use the cartridge "Celebrations". Well I don't have that cartridge so I did use a few cartridges. I used Teardrop, Doodlecharms, and Create - a Critter.

When she posted this challenge I knew I wanted to do my daughter's 1st Birthday.

The presents will be the mats for the photos. For her 1st Birthday - we did a very large cupcake as the main cake, and a smaller cupcake for her own personal. She had a really cute outfit from Carter's with a big purple, white and confetti colored cup cake. That gave me the idea for the accents on this page.

The candles have red stickles to highlight the flames.

I used SEI Paper line - Happy Day
The Purple is from Archivers.
The ribbon was just a pretty little accent from my stash.
The stitching is done with a white gel pen, and a black Zip marker.

Hope you enjoy it, and Happy Scrappin...

Wild Card - Throwback

Well again its time for Emma's throwback challenge. She has the greatest challenges, this week she allowed us to "vote" for what we liked. My vote was for Wild Card as I have that cartridge and not Celebrations.

My favorite "holiday" if you want to call it is Sweetest Day. Only because my daughter was born that day. It was truely the sweetest thing.

I made a small card for my dear sweet and wonderful hubby.

On the inside just simply says, "I Love you" from the wild card phrase.

I used SEI Chocolat paper. If you haven't guessed by now SEI is one of my favorite paper lines. I also hand trimmed the heart with rinestones.

Hope you enjoy, Happy Scrappin

"Animal" Throwback

Once again, Emma at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ is hosting another Thursday throwback. This time the cartridge was to use "Zooballoo" and create an Animal theme project. I made this adorable card for a friend of mine. I don't have Zooballoo so I used the birdie from Create a Critter cartridge. On the inside of the card it says, "Have a Tweet Day".

I used:

SEI paper line "Happy Day"

Peachy Keen Princess Face Assortment Stamp

A pearl rinestone for the eye

"Baby" Throwback

It's time again for Emma's throw back Thursday Challenge.(Check out her blog over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/).
This week the featured cartridge was New Arrival. Well, I don't have this cartridge and since it is a "baby" theme I figured I would do a page of my daughter's favorite word. Yes it is OGG OGG. As in Dog Dog - but she doesn't say the "D's" very well. She is only 20 months what do you expect. She loves to run for the dog's leash and grab it off the table and pretend to hook her up like she was going to take her out. It is truely one of the cutest things.
Given it will be photos of my daughter I will add them off camera. (Sorry).
I used:
SEI Kitty's Place paper
A Child's year Cricut Cartridge
Glue Arts adhesive
and a white gel pen.
Hope you enjoy, and Happy Scrappin'

Doodlecharms - Throwback Challenge

It's that time again for another great throwback challenge sponsored by Emma from http://www.creativetimeforme.com/. This time it was to use the cartridge - duddlecharms. I love this cartridge and was happy when she announced the challenge. I knew I wanted to do the layout of my daughter eating her first Rainbow Cone. Those not from Chicago -- you are missing out. This is one of the many wonderful Chicago foods. The ice cream is huge - but it is so yummy. The name of the place is called Rainbow Cone, they serve a "rainbow" cone ice cream. It is made up of Chocolate, Strawberry, Palmer House (Vanilla, cherries, and walnuts), Pistachio, and Orange Sherbet. It is the best. I love it.

My layout - does not have photos because they are mainly of my daughter and for her safety/privacy I elected not to put those in there yet. I did go back and added the photos.

Enjoy and happy Scrappin..
