Challenges oh Challenges ... I've missed you.

Oh challenges, Oh challenges I've missed you. I've been pretty busy with my family life and haven't been able to make a few cards for challenges. So this week I've squeezed in a little time to make a few fun cards and layouts.

I always love to look at the sketch and tweak it slightly. I didn't want to add buttons so I added some fun purple rhinestones. I just love the Queen & Co rhinestones.
The border is punched w/ a MS punch - and the label die was cut using spellbinders. Whoo hoo just found them for a great price. So excited.

I love the weekly challenge over at http://sketchyfriday.blogspot.com/ (they just changed their name slightly but it's still a great place for a fun challenge).  I wanted to make a fun Spring/Easter card. Shhhh I won't tell you who it's going to though but I hope she loves it.

I used the digi stamp from www.scrappingmemories.com - I think this little bunny is just darling.

I colored all the image with my Spectrum Noir markers. I used a range of markers to color this. I am happy with how it did turn out and will be entering it in the http://www.spectrumnoir.com/challenge/. This month's challenge is to make a "spring" card.

I will be entering this in:

I hope you enjoy my card and

Teddy Bear with Turtle card

OK I must admit I'm getting addicted very quickly to digi images especially cute little ones. I have bought so many in the past few weeks. This cute little Teddy Bear with Turtle is a digi from http://www.shopskdigis.com/. I will say I actually won this cute little guy so I figured I needed to make a birthday card for my dad's birthday and figure this was just too cute. My daddy has a stuffed turtle and my mom collects Teddy Bears so I thought it would be perfect. I will say while I enjoy making a card for my dad -I'm not a huge fan of "boy" colors - I looked through my stash and only found a few papers I liked that would work for masculine stuff.

I colored this cutie with my Spectrum Noir markers - I think I'm getting better. Just trying to get a few color combos to work together.

The cute little bear was colored a few different techniques I've found using the Spectrum Noir markers.
The bear is colored with TN2, TN3, and TN4
The little turtle is just as sweet as can be - he is colored with DG 2, DG 1 and CG 2
The mushrooms IG2, IG 1 and PL 2

No bling no rhinestones no pears, but that is perfectly fine as I wanted the cute stamp to be the focus.

The paper is from MME Nostalgic line -
The cute little sticker is from SRM. Love how it disappears and you really can't tell it's a sticker (unless you really look closely). Love those stickers.

OH did I mention that the weekly challenge at http://sketchyfriday.blogspot.com/ - oh nope didn't so I guess you should run over to her blog and check it out. This is now one of my favorite sketch challenges to participate in.

Hope you enjoy and

LOVE 2 14 2013

OK I must admit I'm addicted to 2 things. The first being my Spectrum Noir markers, and the second the new Challenge at http://sketchyfriday.blogspot.com/2013/01/SFC2.html. This sketch was so fun and lots of ways to make this one work. I actually made 2 cards, but since 1 is for a surprise I won't publish it yet.

I bought this cute little digi from http://www.shopskdigis.com/. I love that cute little Caterpillar w/ the heart. What a doll.

I used my Spectrum Noir markers which also happen to be running a new challenge - LOVE. Well I think this little love bug will find his way to that site soon too. You can enter by going here: http://www.spectrumnoir.com/challenge/

I"ll also enter this at http://www.pileitonchallenge.blogspot.com/2013/01/pile-it-on-3-have-heart.html
I made an A2 card -
The paper is from American Crafts With love collection, so is the sentiment - it's part of the roller stamp. Which I'm starting to really love.
The stripe paper is also from AC -

I used the PL 1, PL2, BT 3, BT 1 and the DR 3, DR 5 to color the cutie.

Hope you enjoy and

Sketchy Friday Challenge #1

So a couple of weeks ago I discovered a fun little Challenge website. I was looking for digi images and came across this great website it is http://skdigis.blogspot.com/. I then started looking around her blog and found this: http://sketchyfriday.blogspot.com/. Score. I love the digi stamps and love a great little sketch challenge. Here is the photo of the sketch challenge:
The rules were pretty simple - just create a project following the sketch.

So I bought this cut cupcake for a very very special person. My Husband's Grandma - She will be turning 100 on Saturday. I'm so excited. I love Grandma just like she was my own. My daughter loves her GREAT GRANDMA too and is super excited about her party on Saturday. I went to the store just to buy a quick card and I'll tell you nothing jumped out at me. So then I figured I'd go ahead and play along with the great little challenge.

The card is actually an easel card - measure 6x6. I wanted to make it larger for Grandma - as her eye site is a little weak.
I printed the birthday cake onto white smooth card stock made for coloring w/ alochol inks. I used my Spectrum Noir markers.
I sized the image for printing to be about 3" and used a circle scallop from Arts Philosophy cartridge sized at 3 3/4" - can I say I also figured out how to use the CENTER point button on my expression? Well I did figure it out pretty quickly and looks pretty good to me on the image.

I then used some Echo Park paper I had - I love the green and the pink. The ribbon is from American Craft. The buttons were from my stash. I added a few Rhinestones, and some stickles.

I think this turned out really pretty - and really hope she loves it.

Have a great day and

Spectrum Noir Challenge

So December's Challenge at Spectrum Noir's blog is to use animals. So I stamped this cute little DeNami stamp onto some Crafter's Companion Ultra Smooth Cardstock. I then used several different Spectrum Noir markers to color in the cute little scene.

I'll be entering this into the Spectrum Noir Monthly Challenge. For more information you can go here: http://www.spectrumnoir.com/challenge/.

Love working with the Spectrum Noir markers and the Smooth Cardstock.

I then made a 4x8 card. I used SEI Holiday Cheer paper and some rasberry buttons. The ribbon on the side was white and because I wanted it to match the green door. I used my Spectrum Noir markers and colored it and it matches PERFECTLY.

Hope you enjoy and

Spectrum Noir Challenge #2

So a couple of weeks ago I ordered this adorable Humphrey stamp set. It is for birthdays but I thought it was so cute w/o the present/sayings and made this card.

We all know I love a good Challenge well this month over at the Spectrum Noirs blog they are hosting another monthly challenge. The them was to color using only Spectrum Noir markers and incorporate flowers. For more details or to enter you can go here:
http://www.spectrumnoir.com/challenge/

I normally do my coloring and then try to match the paper to it. This time I did the opposite and looked at the paper I had bought recently in a kit and knew I wanted to use the Pale Pinks (PP) set. It includes some pastels, lights, and Pink markers. I also used a Tan (TN 2) for the shoes.

I had a few white prima flowers and no PINK so I just took my markers and colored the prima flowers to match the colors.

The little rhinestones are from Queen & Co. the silver accents on the dress are perfect pearls (just bought my 1st set and love them).

Hope you enjoy and

Halloween Witch - Green

So yesterday while at Archievers I bought this cute little stamp set. It is by Inky Antics (they make the Honeypop stamp/paper). I debated for almost 30 minutes on this stamp set or the Christmas set. I finally picked this one. I love that little witch. She is just as sweet as can be.

The stamp is just so fun. It includes the little spider web, and the spider. It also has sayings and a cat and owl.

I used DCWV Bewitched paper stack - love that stack. I used the mat stack too. The purple and green are just so pretty.
The "Happy Halloween"  is from SRM stickers - I found them a few months ago and love the SRM stickers - I recently got this stack of holiday stickers. So fun.
The cute little rhinestones are from Queen and Company - using the Halloween Mini Trios. Which has Orange, Purple, and black mini rhinestones.

I colored her w/ my Spectrum Noir markers.
I used LG1, LG 2, LG 3 and then DG 3 to mark the dress
The hat is  LV 1 and LV2
The boots BG1
Hair CT1 - CT2
I added some highlights w/ the gold sparkle pen by Sakoura.

Hope you enjoy and

Spectrum Noir Challenge

A few months back I was introduced to Spectrum Noir Markers - I fell in love with them instantlly. I have gotten several sets and hope to get a few more for Christmas. Spectrum Noir just recently announced they were going to be hosting a blog challenge.

This challenge was to make a Holiday Card/Project. The rules are pretty simple - use only Spectrum Noir markers to color your image. If you own Spectrum Noir markers and want to play along a great prize is up for grabs. Here is the details: http://www.spectrumnoir.com/challenge/

The sentiment is from Creative time for me.
Gingerbread house stamp is from Peachy Keen Stamps.
I used a range of Spectrum Noir markers for coloring. I love how they go on and how they blend very well together.

I made a 5x5 easel card and added a few little rhinestones.

The paper is from Believe paper pack from Michaels (last year).

Hope you enjoy and
