Cricut Lightning Concert....

Who knew the judge was so cool?

Look she even has a tattoo

A Cricut Lightning Meet and Greet
OK I blame my husband for this one!!! I was joking around and saying I should make another little Cricut display and he told me I should make a ROCK band. Are you laughing as hard as I was? He really was serious. I told him I had no idea of what to make - so my hubby went to the cartridges and pulled out Rock Princess. Yes!!! I know shocked. He told me I should make the guitar, drums, and a singer. OK so I ran with it and Cricut Lighting was born. He thought it would be funny if I gave them all tattoos, just like real rock stars. (Oh and no we don't have any tattoos).  So I went to town thinking of the dresses, the stage and all and this is what I came up with.

I loved the idea of the meet and greet so the stars could thank their fans. I couldn't part with the past decorations of a few vinyl bugs so I just left them and added a few little extras.

I used mainly Rock Princess - the guitar was cut at 2", and the drum set was cut at 3" but I clipped the "drummer" out to be able to add Cricuts.
He told me I should use the lightning bolt theme. I loved that idea.
The lightning bolt is cut at 2 1/2"
The Cricut circle is cut at 4 1/2"

I had allot of fun making these for the Cricut Circle challenge. I think this is one of my FAVORITE challenges.

Hope you enjoy and

Birthday Banner

So yesterday I made a cute little frog castle so today I made another cute little birthday item for her. Shhhh don't tell she didn't know I did this. I asked her if she had a banner she told me no she was going to purchase one -so as a surprise I made this.

I kept w/ the theme and since I printed off all the paper I went ahead and used that to make this banner.

Rock Princess - for the letters cut at 3" and the diamond gems cut at 4"
Create a critter - Frogs cut at 3" w/ shadow and layer

I used my Crop a Dile to punch 3/16" holes and then set the eyelets.
Ribbon is from Michael's
The top accent on the gem is just a border punch

Here the first few photos I added them to my large chest freezer next to where I scrapbook/craft. I then wanted to lay the whole banner out so I put on the carpet. The only problem is taking a photo of something that long. So I staggered them to touch and made it work.
I actually made them 2 separate banners so they could determine where/how they want to place them. Not sure if they will do one long or split them up.

I'll be entering this into the Magazine challenge on the Cricut blog - which is unlimited entries again this month.

Hope you enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'

SEI Challenges with Abby

She's BACK... Yes Abby from http://www.scrapbookaholicbyabby.com/. is back hosting another wonder SEI challenge. Let me just tell you I have my favorite papers yes, but this new SEI line will soon be among my newest favorite I am sure. The new paper line she is given away to the winner is "With All My Heart".
This weeks theme was "Smile or Laughter". My daughter always makes my husband and I smile. She is sweet, silly, and all girl. So I made a cute little layout for photos of my daughter. I haven't figured out which ones I want to put in yet.
I used:
SEI papers Brown is a basic SEI paper
The Pink Scallop was cut at 11.5 on my Expression using the Sugar and Spice Cartridge. I used Christmas Mint (cinnamint) paper.
The Pink/ and pretty heart/bird paper was from Songbird
The letters were all from Rock Princess. That has to be one of my favorite cartridges just for the font alone. I love the cute little hearts on each of the letters.
The twine bows are from Pink Cricut ( I used the cotton candy twine). I think I just found a new accessory I just love.
I hope you enjoy and happy Scrappin'
