3x3 Cards
So this weeks challenge over at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ was to create a set of 3x3 cards. The true requirement was simply to make a set of 4, 3x3 cards.
I know teacher appreciation is this week so I wanted to make a fun and colorful set of cards for my daughter's teachers. If you haven't taken the time to thank the Teachers in your life, please do so. It would mean allot to them (I'm sure). Shhhh don't tell her teachers but they are going to get a wonderful boutique of cookies on Friday from a local bakery.
I took the inspiration from http://www.obsessedwithscrapbooking.com/2013/05/make-quick-mothers-day-card.html as the card she made the other day was just gorgeous. OH and I totally forgot I had this cartridge.
I also made a larger card for my mommy for mothers day using the same colors, but shhhh again don't tell her. :)
I used the Cricut imagine and Lori's Garden for the pattern papers.
I cut the flower on this card at 2.5" which bearly fits a 3x3 card.
I stamped the cards with Small Talk stamp set from Emma. I think it's so fun using the 3x3 stamp w/ the dots and the sentiment. I really wanted the THANKS to pop out so I used the black memento ink. The pink dots are rosebud ink.
I plan on making little envelopes but am running out of time right now I"ll make them in a while. :)
I added a pretty little lime button and some lime twine.
For 2 of them I just popped them up using foam dots, the other 2 I used an action wobble to make the flower float.
I think they turned out so pretty and can't wait for my daughter to give them to her teachers.
Hope you enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'

Echo Park Challenge #4 -- 10X the love
So I always love doing challenges and this one is probably one of MY FAVORITES. I love a "number" them - using 10 in this case. It's so fun because I normally use odd numbers. So this really made me think out of the box.
I used a couple of lines of EP Paper. I didn't have time to run to my local LSS and pick up any more so I combined lines.
I just love the Sweet Girl Collection it is one of my favorites and I mean favorites. LOVE the colors, the patterns. Well I'm in love with lots of EP collections.
I did a fun layout of my daughter. I used 10 flowers, and 10 leaves (I know 10 but I did 10 of each. I almost had 10 papers.. I think this one I wanted to keep rather simple as the photo is a favorite of mine. It captures the sweetness of my daughter yet is very feminine.
I hope you enjoy and I've really enjoyed playing along w/ EP.
Have a great day and
Happy Scrappin'

Cricutville Online National Scrapbook day(s)... The Crazy B challenge...
Welcome to the fun filled events for the National Scrapbook day hosted by several other wonderful ladies who have a passion for crafting. I'm glad you've joined us for these fun events. If you haven't visted the cricut message board I recommend doing so lots of fun challenges, tutorials, chats and prizes given away.
The challenge I'm hosting is the The Crazy B's... That's right...
For this challenge please create a project using the following: Buttons, Brads, Bling and a baby. This challenge will end on May 12 at 8:00 PM and all enteries either on the blog or the message board will be entered for a prize.
I saw this funny photo of my daughter and thought it would be GREAT to share and make a cute and fun layout with it. This photo was taken a couple of years ago but I love the look and finger pointing she has.
She is just as silly now as she was then. I just love her silly face and this silly girl. She's just so much fun.
So now that you've seen my challenge inspiration lets see yours.
I will say I have used the Cool Summer collection by Carta Bella.
The flowers are cut from cricut basic at 1" and 1/2"
I added the cut little brads inside the flowers.
The bling is these cute little pearls.
Then I had to add a few buttons to make it just a little more fun.
I don't normally use the sticker letters in the packs but thought these were just darling.
The date stamp is a roller stamp - from Amy Tangerine
Hope you enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'
