Dress up - Cricut Fair... Photo heavy!!!

So this has to be one of my favorite Cricut Circle magazine challenge thus far. While I love a good challenge this was no different. This challenge was to "dress up " and/or make a scene for  your little cricut vinyl guy/gals. Growing up I loved going to the local county fair. I was even lucky enough to join 4H for a season and won for my snicker doodle cookies.
I thought it would be so fun creating this and once I started I couldn't stop. I probably put in over 20+ hours (shhhh don't tell my hubby). I had tons of ideas and even had to start writing everything down.  To me a fair isn't complete without: Animals, Exhibits, Food, and the "Midway".

I will say dressing up a 3" cricut vinyl w/ a 1 x1 body was a CHALLENGE. I had to give up on making some of the paper outfits and went to vinyl to make it easier.

I won't bore you w/ all the details of each cut but I will say the cuts range from 1/4" to over 6" (w/ the barns, building, food trailer, Ferris wheel, tea cup ride, and fun house being 5 - 6").

I made a tractor complete with a moving "sled" to do a Cricut tractor pull.

I think the little farm animals from County Fair are so adorable. I loved making them. They all won 1st place for their animal class and some even took home a Best in show ribbon.

I remember at the county fair having a Ferris wheel, a tea cup style ride, a cool fun house, and the best bumper cars. These cars actually move on this display.

My cricut dress up includes:
A Cowboy (blue) - w/ chaps, and a cow boy hat, a hat ornament, and a Cricut buckle... (teehee)
A Cowgirl (red) with a  flowing skirt, and cowgirl hat
A Judge (White)   - A top hat, a ribbon, glasses, mustache, and tie  *** He's my favorite****
Fair goers - Green - eating a hot dog, and cotton candy
Fair goer - Purple - drinking a lemon aide shake up and eating a corn dog.
And lets not forget the Fair Queen - Pink - w/ a sash and eating pop corn.

I used some of the cuttle bug  and bug heads cuts from Cricut Everyday.

I used several different cartridges.

Hope you enjoy and

Blogiversary Challenge - Exclusive Cricut Cartridge

For this challenge it ask that we use one of the Cricut Circle exclusive cartridges. It stated we could use any of the exclusive Circle cartridges, and had to have 2 cuts on it.

I have several of the Circle cartridges and had a hard time determining which one to use. Since it is the Fall. I thought it would be fun to make a pumpkin card. I knew when I started making this card what saying I wanted to put on it.

I used the Pop Up Neighborhood cartridge. There are tons of other images on this cartridge other than just "pop" up stuff.

When I saw the scarecrow I instantly wanted to make a little pumpkin patch too. This reminds me of going to Rockville Indiana for a Bridge festival where the farmers have tons of pumpkins and in the field they would decorate scarecrows.

The scarecrow paper is from Imaginisce. I love that paper - it's fall and pretty.

The pumpkins were cut from Apricot bazzil.

I paper pierced and inked the pumpkins to give them some depth. The inside says, " If Friends were pumpkins I'd pick you also by Pink by design. This stamp set was called Bountiful Blessings.

Hope you enjoy,

Pop Up Neighborhood Contest // A different kind of layout *** Alot of photos ***

Warning LOTS of photos:::

This months magazine challenge on the Cricut Circle Blog is to use the cartridge Pop Up neighborhood cartridge. Can I just say I absolutely love cartridge. I love the pop ups and playing with it. I've made several different cards using the cartridge mainly trains. I just love this train cuts. So with that I made something near and dear to my heart a train layout. The challenge was to use your exclusive Pop Up neighborhood cartridge.

Contest Rules: Use at least 4 Cricut Cuts from Pop-up Neighborhood Cartridge in your design. Contest will open on July 23rd. Please upload a working link or picture of your project to the blog under the Magazine Challenge tab. Please, one entry per person. Entry deadline is Friday, August 12th.

** The back ground of why I did this****

This past May my daugther who is 2 1/2 was able to play with her daddy's HO scale 4x8 train layout that is at my MIL house. My husband and his father built it while he was in High School. My husband is a huge train "GEEK" (shhh don't tell him I said that). He loves trains. When my hubby let her be the conductor she was so excited and smiled from ear to ear. Receipe:

The paper is mainly bazzil.

The cuts are as follow:

2.0" Cars

2.5" Bus

2.7" Post Office

3" - Barber shop, Hat shop, Bank, House 5, and people

3.3" Condos, and House 2

3.75" Train

4.5" Church and school

I used "Spring" flower soft for the pretty little flowers. The tracks and the road both cut from Everyday Paper Dolls.

The train station roof and the House 2 roof were both done using Viva Decor - loved the shine this gave.

I know its hard to see in the photos but all the images are 3d - they stand up and form a really neat train layout.

This was so much fun I was excited to do this project and had a BLAST doing it. My daughter kept running in and telling me I was missing the tracks She then would ask if she could play with this which I think will soon become her new toy.

Thanks for looking and
