Baptism Banner

This months Cricut Circle  magazine challenge is to make a Banner - here are the details:
Create any sort of banner you would like, just make sure to incorporate at least 4 Cricut Cuts. Please upload a working link or picture of your project to the blog under the Magazine Challenge tab. Since last month was so much fun seeing how many entries we had, we are doing it again. This month you can enter as many times as you want and we will use the number assigned to your project to randomly pick a winner. Entry deadline is May 11th. If you use Cricut Craft Room design tool, save your file so if you win, we can share it with the Circle members! The winner of this challenge will receive $150.00 credit to Cricut.com and your project picture will be featured in the magazine!

I have a friend who's little boy is getting baptised in a few weeks and I thought this would be a fun way to help decorate for his little party. I thought it would be perfect for the Challenge.

Cartridges - and sizes
Mini Monogram - for the scallop base - cut at 4"
Mini Monogram - for the circle base - cut at 3.75
Easter 2010 - for the crosses - cut at 3"
Nate's ABC - for the letters w/ the shadow feature cut at 3"
I printed the scallop/circle from the Hey Diddle Diddle imagine cartridge.

I then embossed the crosses and "inked" them w/ some Tim Holtz tattered jeans ink. I think they turned out pretty cool. I really didn't want just a plan white cross on there.

I will probably make the party favors to match in some way.

I added some beige ribbon to contrast the blue.

Hope you like and
Happy Scrappin'

MARCH MONTHLY CHALLENGE: Creative Sharing Challenge!

Here they are on the wall shelf

I love making little things I can decorate for the holidays . So for this challenge I made cute little blocks for Easter and Spring... I will using this for the Cricut Monthly Challenge:

The Challenge: Create a piece of wall art (canvas, art board, sign, vinyl directly on wall, framed art, shadow box, etc.). Use at least three colors.
Rules and Guidelines: Circle Blog Challenges are open to Cricut Circle Members only. Your project must be newly created for this challenge and include at least 2 Cricut Image Cuts. You must submit a project to be entered into the Challenge Prize Drawing.
How to Enter: Submit your entry using the InLinkz tool found at the bottom of this post. Please post your full name along with your entry. Entries are due by 9:00 pm MST on Saturday, March 31st, 2012.
Prize: This month the winner will receive $150.00 in credit to Cricut.com.
Winner: The winner will be selected randomly from qualifying entries using www.random.org and will be announced on the Cricut Circle Blog on Thursday, March 1st, 2012.

I made 6 of these cute little blocks. I used Craft card stock and cut them from Wrap It up Cartridge. These are all cut at Fit to page which came out to be 9" (however if you have set on portrait they are only 8").
The green, yellow, pink, purple  papers are from core'dinations - Soft side
I then used Emma's stamp and dies from Hello Spring set. I cut 12 eggs out and stamped them with the coordinating decorative egg stamp. For the Spring I used the pretty flowers, for Easter I used the swirls.
I heat embossed them with some silver embossing powder.

I cut out several little Easter cuts - like the rabbits, lamb, Chickie, and basket from Easter 2010 cartridge all at 2".
The spring cuts are from April Showers - the bird house, tree, squirrel, worm, umbrella, and the cute little rain boots. These also cut at 2".
I added a few little extras - some rhineshones here, some stitching there, a little chalk, and a pretty little Spring/Easter ribbon.

I find that when you make these types of products that you don't assemble them first you add your embellishments and it makes it a lot easier. I glued the tops and side together, but left the bottom. Since, I'll probably be hosting Easter I'll fill them w/ some cute little Easter candies and put on the table.

Hope you enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'

The Season's....

All layed out ready to frame

Winter
Spring
Summer
Fall

I made these cute little birds for a friend of mine who just bought a new house. I thought it would be a cute little house warming gift for her. She is an avid bird watcher so I thought these would be perfect for her. Here they are all framed up ready for hanging.

Here are the details:

Each season is made at 5x7".

The Winter, Summer, and Fall birds are cut at 3" and the Spring bird 3.5" all from 3 Birds on Parade. I used my Gypsy to hide the faces so I could use the cute little PKS faces.
The birdbath (sorry it was too perfect not to use for summer) was cut at 2.5" from 3 Birds on Parade.
The Bird houses and the tree cut  at 4" from Cindy Loo.
Snowflakes are from Arts Philosophy cut at varying sizes.
Clouds are cut from Hello Kitty Greetings varying sizes.
Grass is cut from Easter 2010  varying sizes.
Beach ball, sun,  and the airplane from pack your bags both cut at 1.5"

I added several layers of dimension - like the layering of the clouds, grass, leaves, and sun. The houses are popped up with Black foam tape (loving new foam tape in black).
I added a few little rain drops with Viva Decor, pearls, rhinestones, and the flowers are flower soft.

The faces are PK -460 Happy Lash Assortments and PK-753 Critter faces small. I think these are just soooooo cute.
I hope you enjoy.

Cricut Weekly Challenge #26: Just Because Challenge!

I just recently signed up for the Cricut Circle. I love seeing the ideas everyone has. I was able to play around in my scrapbook room tonight. I was on the Cricut Circle blog and deceided that I would make a cute little card. I made a card for someone special (shhhh won't say who - but it is someone pretty special).

I made a cute Baby Elephant playing in the grass getting ready to send a letter. The reason why is my daughter who is 2 is so excited about seeing the "Baby Ephant" so I thought the recipient would love the card. On the inside it simple says, "Just because..." -- The stamp set is from Emma at http://www.creativetimeforme.com/. These stamps are just as cute as can be.

I was also made a cute little butterfly to put on the inside.

I used:

Copper Metallic paper

Purple Metallic paper

**My new favorite Pomegranate Metallic paper

and Kiwi Metallic paper

Kraft card stock

I cute the Baby Elephant at 2 1/2" with the shadow feature from the Paisley cartridge.

The grass is from Easter 2010

The butterfly is from Bloom (my new favorite cartridge)

The cute little buttons are in the shape of flowers.

I hope the recipient likes it.

Hope you enjoy and Happy Scrappin'
