Sept Scrappy Chic DT project.... BEWARE!!!!

So this month www.ScrappyChicLivonia.com  I was given some fun paper to work with of course it was Halloween and so I had to make something really fun with it.

I had this project in my head as soon as I saw the fun 3D Wall art kit from Kaiser Craft. The wall art kit was suppose to be for making a 3D wall art poinsettia well I had other ideas as you can see.

As part of my kit I received this fun paper from Bella Blvd. The paper line was Trick or Treat - No Brainer (Skulls on the front and stripes on the back) When I saw these fun skeletons I knew a "spooky" Halloween theme was in order. I wanted a little spooky but not SCARY - cause we all know I don't do SCARY.

I covered the slates - with Bella Blvd Trick or Treat - No Brainer. The other paper used was from Doodlebug - Halloween Parade - Spooky spots.
I used Black Shimmer for the backgrounds of each little cutie.

The inside I wanted to be fun and oh not so scary. I used Create a Critter 2 cricut cartridge and cut the little Witch Turtle at 5".
The Owl was cut at 2.5"
The Ghost cut at 3"
The broom and pumpkin at 2"
The word Boo and back ground at 3.5"
The spider webs cut at 2.75"
The fences were cut 1.75"

The fun little hinges were from TH - Ideaology (they come in a set of 4  - 2 large and 2 small). I kept the brads  but cut the backs of them - I then hot glued them on. (Well My WONDERFUL hubby glued them on).

When you open the slates it has the fun little cute witch, ghost, and owl. Whooo whoooo - isn't is just so sweet. I added an action wobble to the little ghost.

I really had a blast making this fun little collage.

If your ever in the SE MI area stop buy Scrappy Chic in Livonia MI - it's an AWESOME store!!!

Hope you enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'

Red, White, and Blue...

So for my kit at www.Scrappychiclivonia.com  I was given the cute Doodlebug line. I made a fun little layout with my daughter when she was just about 9 months old. I used Bazzill red card stock, blue card stock and the Doodlebug Stars/Stripes paper line.

The letters are cut from the cricut machine using the Birthday Bash cartridge.

I added a few little maya road canvas buttons.

Hope you enjoy and

Happy Scrappin'

Pink sleeping bear and charm.

So another week which means another challenge at http://sketchyfriday.blogspot.com/. This challenge was really fun and as soon as I looked at it I knew what I wanted to make. Seems like lots of my friends are having little babies. I have 3 friends who just had a little one.
This one I really love the cute bear and the moon. It is just so sweet. I actually did a "different" thing vs just coloring the image. I actually paper pierced the bear/moon. I used some yellow paper, pink, brown. Then I also used white card stock. I cut the pieces added to the white card stock.

The green paper base is SEI , the rest of the paper is from doodlebug. I figured since it was a little girl for this card - then it would be perfect. It is 6x6 card. I love the stripped bubble gum pink paper and the pretty little paper on the back.
I used my Martha Stewart punches to make a cute little border on a stripe of paper. I then glued the paper pieced moon/bear down onto the white, and used my new spellbinder dies to cut a cute little label. I adhered that to the bigger square paper - which is 4x4 popped it up to give it some dimension.
The sentiment is from My Creative Time --- All star baby. For this card -I wanted to use the "Congrats on your little miracle because this friend really has had a hard time getting pregnant and little Mariah is truly a miracle.

I couldn't stop with just the card so I also made a cute little charm for her charm bracelet. My friend totally loves charms. I figured since this was an "easier" cut image I would print them on the Shrinky Dink paper and color it.  I imported the digi to 3" and then it shrinks to this size here. I then sealed it with Ultra Thick Embossing enamel.
Hope you enjoy and don't forgot to join http://sketchyfriday.blogspot.com/ for some fun.
Have a great day and
Happy Scrappin'
