Princess Genevieve

So I love a good sketch and a fun challenge that goes along with it. Sometimes we just need a little boost in starting the design. Well I came across this fun sketch from The Paper Bakery and thought it would be perfect for the layout I wanted to make. I am using my papers from my DT kit at www.scrappychiclivonia.com. If your ever in SE MI Scrappy Chic is an awesome store. Lots of new stuff and great customer service!!! This sketch is perfect for having multiple photos. Allot of times (lately) I find myself just using a large photo and creating a layout.

These papers were part of my July DT kit. The papers are from We R Memory keepers new paper line called Storytime. These papers are just so fun. The names come from good old story books. The papers I used were Hansel, Rapunzel, Gretel. I love the pretty little swirl graphics on the corners but when couldn't see them very well so in 2 of the corners I added a little glossy accents to make them pop.

I used the sketch as a base and ch anged up the elements a little. The photos are of my daughter Genevieve. I have to admit at first I was a little disappointed in the QUICK photos I could get. She is at that age where she doesn't want to give a pretty smile or stand still. She wants to goof around, have a silly face or not look at the camera. So I had to be really quick but I think it's perfect. I'm sure all princess' have a BAD day every once in a while. (Teeheee).

I will say my other addition is dies. I really do love My Favorite Things dies (among others).  I mean I can't go into the scrapbook store w/o even looking at them. Normally I just buy one or 2 (shhh).  This set is probably one of my favorite sets. It is Die-Namics (MFT) blueprint #5 set.  The photo mats and flowers are from the blueprint #5 set, the fishtail banners also from MFT, and so are the mini pennants. I just love how they add so much to the layout.

The title was made using my gypsy and welding the words together using the cartridge Baby Steps.

Hope you enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'
