The Season's....

All layed out ready to frame

Winter
Spring
Summer
Fall

I made these cute little birds for a friend of mine who just bought a new house. I thought it would be a cute little house warming gift for her. She is an avid bird watcher so I thought these would be perfect for her. Here they are all framed up ready for hanging.

Here are the details:

Each season is made at 5x7".

The Winter, Summer, and Fall birds are cut at 3" and the Spring bird 3.5" all from 3 Birds on Parade. I used my Gypsy to hide the faces so I could use the cute little PKS faces.
The birdbath (sorry it was too perfect not to use for summer) was cut at 2.5" from 3 Birds on Parade.
The Bird houses and the tree cut  at 4" from Cindy Loo.
Snowflakes are from Arts Philosophy cut at varying sizes.
Clouds are cut from Hello Kitty Greetings varying sizes.
Grass is cut from Easter 2010  varying sizes.
Beach ball, sun,  and the airplane from pack your bags both cut at 1.5"

I added several layers of dimension - like the layering of the clouds, grass, leaves, and sun. The houses are popped up with Black foam tape (loving new foam tape in black).
I added a few little rain drops with Viva Decor, pearls, rhinestones, and the flowers are flower soft.

The faces are PK -460 Happy Lash Assortments and PK-753 Critter faces small. I think these are just soooooo cute.
I hope you enjoy.

Throwback Thursday....

Well it's time for Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge. Might I say too she's got a NEW stamp release... The sneaks have been so AWESOME. I can't wait to see all of them.

Here's more about the challenge:

Here are the details for this challenge:
*** This challenge is a BUG'S THEME CHALLENGE! Use any older cartridge of YOUR choice & create a project of YOUR choice using a "BUG" theme!
*** Link your project up to Mr. Linky below, then leave a comment!
*** Deadline for this challenge will be on Wed, Feb 15th @ midnight!

Well yes I waited until the last minute.... I thought about the stamp Emma released a while back called, " My favorite sayings" and this cute little stamp was on that one. Oh how perfect for the theme.

I recently saw several different easel cards and wanted to make it but never put for the effort to see how they were actually made. I have now figured it out and made a few. I love the look.

This card I used SEI - paper for the background, Kraft paper (FYI : My Joann's had Kraft 50 pack paper for 1.97), green bazzil.
The little frog and bug is from Campin Critters (one of my favorite cartridges). I thought it was perfect. I added a little stiching to the bug.
A little twine, some rhinestones, and flowers and it was done.

This card is an A2 size card when folded.

Hope you enjoy,

I tried my hand at making an easel card and thought it would be perfect for this challenge. My take on this was the color. I like the pretty colors. I saw the vibrant red, and black berries along with the soft green and melon colors.

The background paper is from SEI
I used the PKS Vivienne and Friends set. I bought this set a while back and fell in love with it.
I used some copics and also watercolor pencils to color her and the cute little rag doll.
I added some little stickles to the dress, shoes, and wagon.
The ribbon is from SEI.
I chalked some grass and some clouds.

If anyone has suggestions on what the best black INK is for Copics I'd love to hear it.

I'm entering this at Peachy Keen Stamps - blog challenge. http://peachykeenstampschallenge.blogspot.com/

Hope you enjoy -

Weekly Challenge #51: Valentine’s Day Cards Challenge!

It's time for the weekly challenge on the Cricut circle blog.

This challenge was to make a Valentines day card. I wanted to make something for my daughter for Valentines day. I got my inpiration from none other than her PJ'S. Yes that is correct. Since she is only 3 she still wears the cute snuggly footed PJ'S. I thought wow that will make a fun little card for her.  Similar to these:
My inpiration for the card

The Challenge: Create a Valentine’s Day Card. Include sequins or gems and ribbon.
Rules and Guidelines: Circle Blog Challenges are open to Cricut Circle Members only. Your project must be newly created for this challenge and include atleast 2 Cricut Image Cuts. You must submit a project to be entered into the Challenge Prize Drawing. One entry per person, please.

I cut the cute little elephant (I know an Oxymoron) at 3.5 " from Create a Critter. The paper is from Recollections line - called Butterfly Wings.
The base paper is just from scraps - it's orange and pink but really hard to see it.
I added a few little gems (since I'm not mailing this I added alot). My daughter is loving glitter and gems now. I added a cute little ribbon from Michaels house brand and made a cute little bow on the tail.

I think she will love this as she seems to really love thos PJ's.

Thanks for stopping and

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge 03 Toliet paper roll

Time again for another great challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps. This weeks challenge was to use toliet paper roll.  I  started thinking about this and looked through my cartridges and then it dawned on me to make the Nesting Dolls. I grapped the toliet paper roll and made several different prototypes. I finally figured out how to make these great little dolls.

I cut them from Paisley cartridge - the dolls were cut at 6", 5", 4", 3", 2", 1" and 1/2" - I didn't have Peachy faces small enough to work with the 1 and the 1/2" so I just drew on the faces. I didn't like how they looked so I only photoed down to the 2" one.

I used SEI paper for the brown dress, and the pink babushka. I then made a cute little rose from the Arts Philosophy cartridge. Those are cut from 6 1/2" to 1". I also used SEI paper for those.

I used PKS Princess faces.

Hope you like these and
