Moonrise Collection

Well Gaby at http://www.gabycreates.com/. is hosting another SEI challenge. This time it was to your the photo to inspire your project. When I saw this photo:

I thought instantly of the SEI moonrise collection of paper. paper. This paper is so pretty. I love it. It is perfect for fall, or "formal" photos. The colors are Orange, Brown, Green, Gold, and cream. SEI had allot of really pretty paper that is "Bright and Cheery", but this paper is a little more muted.
A few weeks ago, a great friend of mine took photos of my daughter, Genevieve. I thought that a "color" photo would be too much so I printed it off in Black and White. I think it is perfect. This photo is one of my absolute favorites. It sums up what a 2 year old wants to do.

I also entered this in Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge. For Peachy Keen Stamps it was a "sketch" layout.
I hope you enjoy it, as I had allot of fun making it.
I tried a few new things - Stitching on Ribbon and also Stitching on the page.

I used:
SEI Moon Rise collection
Green Ribbon
My Gypsy (to cut only the scallops at the top)

Hope you enjoy and Happy Scrappin'

I love the layout and that picture is so very cute! Thanks for the great comment on my blog. I have been scrapping for awhile now but my work isn't quite the same as some I see on these challenges. I am used to the old "pile a bunch of pictures from an event" on a page with some stickers!! HA!! Love my cricut and really want to find some new techniques.

nice layout, I like the dimensions and texture added by stitching

At first I thought the photo was vintage because of the black and white. Even her plaid dress looks vintage. I think you made a good choice not to use a color photo on your layout. Thanks for joining the challenge at PKS!
