So last week just slipped right on by and I totally missed doing Week 7 over at http://sketchyfriday.blogspot.com/.
I always love playing along with sketches and this one really seemed pretty cute to make. I love the cute little butterfly. I actually flipped it and then attached to some pink card stock - this little guy was colored with some colored pencils and then added some liquid pearls. I just love this stuff.
The Thank - you sentiment is from www.Creativetimeforme.com gift card sentiments.
I made this card for a sweet friend who hosted a couple of us for a weekend crop at her place.
The paper is from Echo Park collection.
Hope you enjoy and

BEYOND EXCITED!!!!
Happy Sunday!!! I hope your weekend was fun and relaxing. I am beyond thrilled to be selected as part of the 2013 Scrappy Chic
design team. Scrappy Chic is a local scrapbooking store here in SE MI.
I will say this is a dream come true.
I was selected as one of 4 design team members for the 2013 year.
To be selected as part of the design team we had to submit 3 different layouts with specific conditions, and if we wanted to an altered art project.
Layout #1 –Titled: Social Butterfly – The objective here was
to use only solid papers in an innovative way. I used bold colors coordinating with
the photo, large cut shapes, and a few
Cricut cuts dressed up with some stickles.
Layout #2 – Titled: You
Are – The goal here was to use at least 5 different manufactures. I used Echo
park paper, bazzill cardstock, cord’inations cardstock, twine, and hero arts.
Layout #3 – Titled: Happy Girl – This was to use mainly one
manufacture but at least 4 different items from them. I used My Minds eye. I
used the paper, a die cut, brads, rub on, and stickers.
Altered Project – Since I used my alter project for the DT try outs and also then used it to showcase a fun project on the Cricuts Fantastic blog I'll wait to post details regarding that later.
I am thankful and excited to be apart of a great team who
loves and supports Scrappy Chic. I will say some of these projects were challenging yet they turned out to be some of my FAVORITE projects I've made.
Hope you enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'

Week 6 -- wow where has the year gone???
Where oh where has the year gone. Wow it's already week 6 for the challenge at http://sketchyfriday.blogspot.com/. This week as soon as I saw the sketch I knew of what I wanted to make. A couple of valentines for a few special people.
I made 2 of them both about the same - the 1 is for my daughter and the other for my hubby.
I learned a new technique a while back from Leanne at http://createdbyleanne.blogspot.com/2012/09/show-me-your-technique-tuesday.html. I thought it was so pretty and just made a huge statement.
I did not use a digi stamp this time but I still think it was pretty fun.
For this it's simple just cut/stamp and assemble.
I used the heart stamp from Emma at www.creativetimeforme.com and the sentiment is actually from SRM stickers.
Simple yet fun card.
I for my daughters card I added a little bow and rhinestones, but for my husbands I simply just put a few black rhinestones on it.
Hope you like it and
Happy Scrappin'

Teddy Bear with Turtle card
OK I must admit I'm getting addicted very quickly to digi images especially cute little ones. I have bought so many in the past few weeks. This cute little Teddy Bear with Turtle is a digi from http://www.shopskdigis.com/. I will say I actually won this cute little guy so I figured I needed to make a birthday card for my dad's birthday and figure this was just too cute. My daddy has a stuffed turtle and my mom collects Teddy Bears so I thought it would be perfect. I will say while I enjoy making a card for my dad -I'm not a huge fan of "boy" colors - I looked through my stash and only found a few papers I liked that would work for masculine stuff.
I colored this cutie with my Spectrum Noir markers - I think I'm getting better. Just trying to get a few color combos to work together.
The cute little bear was colored a few different techniques I've found using the Spectrum Noir markers.
The bear is colored with TN2, TN3, and TN4
The little turtle is just as sweet as can be - he is colored with DG 2, DG 1 and CG 2
The mushrooms IG2, IG 1 and PL 2
No bling no rhinestones no pears, but that is perfectly fine as I wanted the cute stamp to be the focus.
The paper is from MME Nostalgic line -
The cute little sticker is from SRM. Love how it disappears and you really can't tell it's a sticker (unless you really look closely). Love those stickers.
OH did I mention that the weekly challenge at http://sketchyfriday.blogspot.com/ - oh nope didn't so I guess you should run over to her blog and check it out. This is now one of my favorite sketch challenges to participate in.
Hope you enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'
