Milestone and memories Cricut challenge

The monhtly chllenge on the Cricut Circle blog was to create a layout capturing a recent milestone. Well, I didn't have anything major like a tooth or a new house. I realized that a milestone could be in any form not something major. Recently I took my daughter to the Legoland in Schaumburg IL while my husband was working in the area. We tagged along for the week and had a blast in our adventures.
My daughter achieved a few little milestones while having fun.
I actually journaled on this page -- I know SHOCK!!! It says she achieved several milestones, 1) Rode a roller coaster (it was the dragon coaster but still a new milestone).
2) She was able to go to the Master Builder's workshop and make a cute little bee
3) She rode a technicycle - it was a fun little ride at Legoland
4) She watched her 1st 3d movie
5) She saw some life sized sculptures made of legos. She really loved the pumpkin, the monkey and the tiger.

While they were small milestones they were such a fun memory. She kept saying, "I'm having fun at legoland".

Arts Philosophy - Square 8 function (for the light purple base) cut at 10"
Arts Philosophy - Scallop circle  6"
Arts Philosophy - top note  4"
Create a Critter - bee 2 1/2"
Playtime - title "having fun" cut at 3" w/ layers
Nate's ABC - @ sign at 2" and Legoland cut at 1" (I wanted a nice sqared off font)

I printed the photos as wallets and attached to the green card stock - that is attached to a piece of Echo park paper.
I know the typical colors are primary colors but I wanted this to be a little more girly.

The paper is from a HUGE paper pack by cordinations - I bought it recently for only 7.00  - it has 150 sheets of cordinations paper - what a great deal on that.

Hope you enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'

This is adorable! And I agree with you on celebrating the small things. I've even done a layout on a first Happy Meal;)
