Birthday Card - NSD Circle Blog Challenge

So in honor of National Scrapbook Day the Cricut Circle is hosting a fun little challenge. This challenge was to use this art piece as inpiration for a project.
I know it's not the same as far as the flower or butterflies etc. However the challenge was to make a project from the art inspiration. The rule was simple - however you like (design, color inspiration, etc). When I do these types of challenges -- I always look for similar but different elements. Here was my take on it: The colors are more pastel/muted. Likewise I saw a lot of green.
Also I broke this down into my design. There is a small block at the top on the art - mine the banner. Stripes - also on mine and in the art. There basically was several squares/rectangle making up the project. I made a "step" card - and so the long rectangle on the right of the art - was mine on the right. The small rectangles I made together to form the long rectangle on the left. I have a main/center element the mouse.
I thought this turned out pretty cute. I am debating on putting "MOM" across the top or just leaving it.

George and Basic - cut the rectangles for the color blocking
Arts Philosophy - Banner cut at 1 1/4"
Birthday  Bash - Mouse cut at 3" w/ layers.

Paper SEI Happy Fair

I added google eyes - for the mouse.
I stamped the inside simply - Happy Birthday.

Hope you enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'
