A Jen Starr Class...

So a few weeks ago Jen Starr  was at my local Scrapbook store - Scrappy Chic in SE MI. Let's just say her class was packed full of fun and great tips. I learned about new products from Viva Decor - some which I just loved playing with during class. The theme for the album was suppose to be Christmas, however from what you can see I didn't make mine completely into a Christmas Album. I loved the colors and thought since I had a collection of Fancy Pants papers from my design team kit I'd finish the album using them. I loved the colors of the spine/covers on this album and they coordinated so well.

Here is what I used:

Fancy Pants – Happy Go Lucky – Gleeful

Fancy Pants – Happy Go Lucky – joyful

Bazzill

Embellishment:

Fancy Pants – Happy go lucky – Ephermera pack

Webster’s pages – Heart and arrow paper clips

Viva Décor – Pearl Ink a gold

Viva Décor – 3d Stamp paint

The class was allot of fun and as you can see we got our hands a little messy.

Hope you enjoy and

Sept Scrappy Chic DT project.... BEWARE!!!!

So this month www.ScrappyChicLivonia.com  I was given some fun paper to work with of course it was Halloween and so I had to make something really fun with it.

I had this project in my head as soon as I saw the fun 3D Wall art kit from Kaiser Craft. The wall art kit was suppose to be for making a 3D wall art poinsettia well I had other ideas as you can see.

As part of my kit I received this fun paper from Bella Blvd. The paper line was Trick or Treat - No Brainer (Skulls on the front and stripes on the back) When I saw these fun skeletons I knew a "spooky" Halloween theme was in order. I wanted a little spooky but not SCARY - cause we all know I don't do SCARY.

I covered the slates - with Bella Blvd Trick or Treat - No Brainer. The other paper used was from Doodlebug - Halloween Parade - Spooky spots.
I used Black Shimmer for the backgrounds of each little cutie.

The inside I wanted to be fun and oh not so scary. I used Create a Critter 2 cricut cartridge and cut the little Witch Turtle at 5".
The Owl was cut at 2.5"
The Ghost cut at 3"
The broom and pumpkin at 2"
The word Boo and back ground at 3.5"
The spider webs cut at 2.75"
The fences were cut 1.75"

The fun little hinges were from TH - Ideaology (they come in a set of 4  - 2 large and 2 small). I kept the brads  but cut the backs of them - I then hot glued them on. (Well My WONDERFUL hubby glued them on).

When you open the slates it has the fun little cute witch, ghost, and owl. Whooo whoooo - isn't is just so sweet. I added an action wobble to the little ghost.

I really had a blast making this fun little collage.

If your ever in the SE MI area stop buy Scrappy Chic in Livonia MI - it's an AWESOME store!!!

Hope you enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'

Glitz paper bag album

So a couple of weeks ago as part of my DT assignment for Scrappy Chic - I was given some fun papers by Glitz. I'll tell you the truth when I first saw the paper I liked it but felt it just wasn't my typical style. Shhhh don't tell anyone but I went back to the store to buy some more. Once I started working with the paper I fell in love with it. I knew I wanted to make a fun little paper bag album so I used the paper line "LOVE YOU MADLY". Once I started making it I wanted to keep going. I used the Bits and pieces, and What nots to embelishment my album.

Here you can see the pink heart which is actually from Queen and Company, and so are the cute little glass flowers. I just love the way they actually MATCH perfectly.  I used the different embelishments as "tabs" to pull out a card from also.

I don't know yet what photos I will be putting on it but I just love the cute album.

Hope you enjoy.
