Hello Kitty invite...

So the other week I bought several different sizes Glassine bags with an idea to decorate them. As part of my April monthly kit for http://www.scrappychiclivonia.com/ . If you're ever in Livonia MI I highly recommend stopping by Scrappy Chic. It's awesome and she is contantly getting new stuff.  I wanted to make a fun little invite using the cute paper from Ruby Rock it - This paper was the Carnival queen/candy stripe.

I cut Hello Kitty at 5" using the shadow feature, the sillolutee and the layers from the Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge.

She needed a little tail smoke so I added some fun little SRM stiched swirls to the front and the back.

I folded the top of the bag over and slid my invite in there and added some yummy purple twine.
The ruffle ribbon is from Maya Road and if you haven't noticed I love that ribbon. :) It's so fun.

The top I added a "stitched" sticker from SRM.

Calendars

 

So I guess I never uploaded these fun calendars I made last year for a couple of gift exchanges I was in. I didn't know the person too well so I wanted to just keep it simple. I bought 3 of these calendars and made 2 of them then and will make another one for  next year shortly.

I used several different paper lines but kept the design the same way. I tried to use papers that would fit the month and theme.

These are the little calendars but they are just so fun to sue.

I added the month to them but figured I would leave the dates open (they could write them in and/or print off a calendar and attach it to the month to give it a more versital time.

I made a couple of these for my mom/mil the past year and they both didn't want the dates on them so they could "reuse" the calendar. (My response was I could always make you another one!!!)

I left a large area on the photo mat for a pretty photo. I don't know about others but I love to take the calendar pages w/ the photo on them and then scrapbook them.

Mini Calendar

 

A few months ago I made several of these little match box mini calendars (I made them look like purses w/ handles on them).  Well I had a few extra SRM stickers in the calendars just waiting to used.  My friend asked me for a calendar because she didn't have one in her purse so I made this fun little calendar. 

Since, I had a few extra pieces of paper and several of the calendar stickers this also became part of my monthly kit for Scrappy Chic http://www.scrappychiclivonia.com/.

 

I used the paper from Crate Paper Birthday -Surprise, Cupcake

The cover is only part of the paper and the pages are 2 pieces - you can make this w/ 1 piece but it will only give you 9 pages and I wanted to make 12.

 

These are so fun to make and look great and are quick and small.

 

I used the SRM calendar stickers

Rolled flowers - from Arts Philosophy cricut cartridge.

 

I used a Velcro dot for the closure but you could use a magnet or button/tie.

Week 6 -- wow where has the year gone???

 

Where oh where has the year gone. Wow it's already week 6 for the challenge at http://sketchyfriday.blogspot.com/. This week as soon as I saw the sketch I knew of what I wanted to make. A couple of valentines for a few special people.

 

I made 2 of them both about the same - the 1 is for my daughter and the other for my hubby.

 

I learned a new technique a while back from Leanne at http://createdbyleanne.blogspot.com/2012/09/show-me-your-technique-tuesday.html. I thought it was so pretty and just made a huge statement.

 

I did not use a digi stamp this time but I still think it was pretty fun.

 

For this it's simple just cut/stamp and assemble.

 

I used the heart stamp from Emma at www.creativetimeforme.com and the sentiment is actually from SRM stickers.

 

Simple yet fun card.

 

I for my daughters card I added a little bow and rhinestones, but for my husbands I simply just put a few black rhinestones on it.

Teddy Bear with Turtle card

OK I must admit I'm getting addicted very quickly to digi images especially cute little ones. I have bought so many in the past few weeks. This cute little Teddy Bear with Turtle is a digi from http://www.shopskdigis.com/. I will say I actually won this cute little guy so I figured I needed to make a birthday card for my dad's birthday and figure this was just too cute. My daddy has a stuffed turtle and my mom collects Teddy Bears so I thought it would be perfect. I will say while I enjoy making a card for my dad -I'm not a huge fan of "boy" colors - I looked through my stash and only found a few papers I liked that would work for masculine stuff.

I colored this cutie with my Spectrum Noir markers - I think I'm getting better. Just trying to get a few color combos to work together.

The cute little bear was colored a few different techniques I've found using the Spectrum Noir markers.
The bear is colored with TN2, TN3, and TN4
The little turtle is just as sweet as can be - he is colored with DG 2, DG 1 and CG 2
The mushrooms IG2, IG 1 and PL 2 

No bling no rhinestones no pears, but that is perfectly fine as I wanted the cute stamp to be the focus.

The paper is from MME Nostalgic line -
The cute little sticker is from SRM. Love how it disappears and you really can't tell it's a sticker (unless you really look closely). Love those stickers.

For this blog hop
I made 2 card  the first one I used this  cute cartridge Teddy Bear Parade.
Witch Bear Card:
Witch Bear A2 card
The card is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4"
Cartridge:
Teddy Bear Parade
Bear cut at 3" w/ all layers
I added a little 1/4" banner to add the sticker to a few pop dots on the bear and banner.

The second card is is also a witch but a cute/sweet witch.

The stamp set is from Inky Antics called Halloween Witch Honey Pop. This is a stamp that you are suppose to use on the inside of a card w/ the special Honey Pop paper, however, I just wanted it to be on the outside. That is the great part with Inky Antic stamp sets. I colored this witch with my Spectrum Noir Markers and added a some detail w/ my glitter pen.

The card base is DCWV - cards
The paper for both cards is also from DCWV - I used my favorite Halloween pack Bewitched. I seriously might just run out of DCWV Bewitched paper. I love the bright pinks, purple, and traditional orange black.
The Happy Halloween, Get Candy, and the three little banners are  from SRM sticker borders.

The gems are from Queen and Company.

Halloween Witch - Green

So yesterday while at Archievers I bought this cute little stamp set. It is by Inky Antics (they make the Honeypop stamp/paper). I debated for almost 30 minutes on this stamp set or the Christmas set. I finally picked this one. I love that little witch. She is just as sweet as can be.

The stamp is just so fun. It includes the little spider web, and the spider. It also has sayings and a cat and owl.

I used DCWV Bewitched paper stack - love that stack. I used the mat stack too. The purple and green are just so pretty.
The "Happy Halloween"  is from SRM stickers - I found them a few months ago and love the SRM stickers - I recently got this stack of holiday stickers. So fun.
The cute little rhinestones are from Queen and Company - using the Halloween Mini Trios. Which has Orange, Purple, and black mini rhinestones.

I colored her w/ my Spectrum Noir markers. 
I used LG1, LG 2, LG 3 and then DG 3 to mark the dress
The hat is  LV 1 and LV2
The boots BG1
Hair CT1 - CT2
I added some highlights w/ the gold sparkle pen by Sakoura.
