Ghost Night Out...
So I always love a good challenge and this week at Peachy Keen stamps the challenge was to follow a sketch. I love sketches and love being able to CHANGE them to make it my way. I try to find an element and run with that. This weeks sketch is this
Well I saw a couple of things in this sketch and made a little layout for Halloween for this.
I wanted to use the big circle - and make it the "moon" - then the haunted house and the ghost flying by. Then for the middle section - I made those the photo mat area and then the bottom is the orange polka dot.
The paper is from DCWV - Bewitched paper stack, and mat stacks. Can I just say I love the DCWV paper stacks!!!
I stamped the cute little Ghost w/ PKS ghost stamp - notice they are flying around and then one hiding.. I wanted to make it appear as if the ghost was flying away from the haunted house so I inked my stamp - stamped, did not reink and stamped again.
I added a few little spiders - from Create a Critter 2 -cartridge. LOVE IT!! Just too cute for little critters.
I added googlie eyes for the spiders.
The pumpkins were colored w/ spectrum noir marker, and prima pencils and then used my orange sakura pen.
The cute little banner stickers are from SRM stickers.
The moon was created by using TH - distress stamps.
The sentiment stamp was from Emma's stamps http://www.creativetimeforme.com/.
Hope you enjoy and

Happy 40th
Emma with www.creativetimeforme.com is hosting another Throwback Thursday. I've missed a few recently but I really wanted to play along with this one. I have a friend who is celebrating his 40th Birthday this weekend. So I figured this would be perfect for the challenge and him.
The challenge was to This is a BIRTHDAY THEME challenge!
~Must use a Cartridge that has balloons, bday hats, bday cake
~ Deadline for this challenge is May 23rd
Something To Celebrate - "40" cut at 3" w/ shadow layers.
Both of these cartridges have balloons, a bday hat and bday cake so I figured it would be perfect fit for this challenge.
I used Imagainicse paper - Happy Camper both the dots and the stripes.
The stamp is "Polk a Dot surprise" from Emma's stamps. (This is my go to birthday stamp set).
I thought it would be fitting for this type of card.
Hope you enjoy and

Throwback Thursday
Well it's been a while since I played in a Throwback Thursday Challenge so here is my card. I have a friend who's birthday is coming up so I wanted to make a card to match the sucker bouquet that I make too.
This challenge was to use an older cartridge and make a frame. I thought this was pretty fun. My friend isn't too girly and loves stripes and polka dots.
Old West - shadow and frame layer cut at 4 1/2"
It is suppose to go up and down but I thought this would work out better for the sentiment I was going to use.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Emma's stamps - called Polka Dot surprise. I have used that set 2 times this week already. It is one of my favorites.
Paper is from imaginisce - Happy Camper line.
I added a few rhinestones and some stitching on the rope.
Hope you enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'

Throwback Thursday CRICUT-LESS CHALLENGE!!
Emma from www.creativetimeforme.com host a Throwback Thursday and from time to time she puts a little spin on the Throwback. This time it's to create a project w/o using anything electronic. That is correct. "This is a "CRICUTLESS" Challenge! Meaning, you are not allowed to use your cricuts, imagines, e2's or your cameo's or any "Electronic machine"! Basically, we are taking it back "Old School"! You are totally allowed to use punches &/or your cuttlebug!.
I love these challenges and find them really to be a challenge as I am addicted to my CRICUT. I love making stuff with it. This time I also learned a new trick to thanks to Nikki with http://scrappinnavywife.blogspot.com/. She is actually Emma's Best friend and has some really AWESOME projects. She has started paper piecing and now I think I might be addicted to that as well. It actually seemed hard but then when I watched the video Nikki sent me to watch it was pretty easy. I also found it to be very realizing.
I used some SEI paper - Birds of a Feather - butterfly garden for the flowers, and stripes.
The brown dots is also from Birds of a Feather
I don't know the actual line of paper the pink and green is but it is also from SEI.
The cupcake stamps are from EK success
The sentiment is from Emma's Stamp - "Polka Dot Surprise".
The ribbon is from Michael's
I made a little easel card which I think is my new style of cards. I love the way these look.
I hope you enjoy and

Throwback Thursday....
Well it's time for Emma's Throwback Thursday challenge. Might I say too she's got a NEW stamp release... The sneaks have been so AWESOME. I can't wait to see all of them.
Here's more about the challenge:
Here are the details for this challenge:
*** This challenge is a BUG'S THEME CHALLENGE! Use any older cartridge of YOUR choice & create a project of YOUR choice using a "BUG" theme!
*** Link your project up to Mr. Linky below, then leave a comment!
*** Link your project up to Mr. Linky below, then leave a comment!
*** Deadline for this challenge will be on Wed, Feb 15th @ midnight!
Well yes I waited until the last minute.... I thought about the stamp Emma released a while back called, " My favorite sayings" and this cute little stamp was on that one. Oh how perfect for the theme.
I recently saw several different easel cards and wanted to make it but never put for the effort to see how they were actually made. I have now figured it out and made a few. I love the look.
This card I used SEI - paper for the background, Kraft paper (FYI : My Joann's had Kraft 50 pack paper for 1.97), green bazzil.
The little frog and bug is from Campin Critters (one of my favorite cartridges). I thought it was perfect. I added a little stiching to the bug.
A little twine, some rhinestones, and flowers and it was done.
This card is an A2 size card when folded.
Hope you enjoy,

Throwback Thursday Challenge: VALENTINE'S DAY CHALLENGE
| Cards for my daughters Pre-School Teachers |
| Action Wobble |
So it's time again for Emma's fantastic Throwback Thursday Challenge.
*** This challenge is a VALENTINE'S DAY CHALLENGE! Use any cartridge of YOUR choice & just make a Valentine Card!
*** Link your project up to Mr. Linky below, then leave a comment!
*** Deadline for this challenge will be on Wed, Feb 8th @ midnight!
*** ONE project per person please!
So for this I made a few little cards:
I made 2 cards one for each of her teachers.
The 1st card I used Best of 2008 Cartridge - which is a sampling of cartridges released in 2008. The scallopped heart was cut at 3" and the little saying is from Emma's stamp set called More Gift Card Sentiments. I used a simple little ink on the edges and assemblies. Just something quick and simple.
The 2nd card I used Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge - I cut the wings at 2.5" and used the shilloutte layer for the black. The red heart is a shiny metalic paper. It's so sparkly pretty w/o being glittery.
I attached an action wobble and made it move.
The stamp I
I used some of my scraps of paper for both.
The heart ribbon is from Michaels (bought a while back)
A little bling and it's done.
Hope you enjoy

December CRICUT CRAFT ROOM and Throwback Thursday's contest
For my 2nd challenge of the new year I wanted to do the Cricut Magazine challenge.
I will say I have grown to love the new Cricut Craft Room (CCR) - I bought my mini so I could use the craft room - (not that I couldn't use the CCR w/ other machines; however, I would have to lug them into the other room). I love the portablity of the mini.
Here is the contest rules:
Use the Cricut Craft Room™ design tool to create any project. Contest will open on December17th. Please upload a working link or picture of your project to the blogunder the Magazine Challenge tab. One entry per person. Entry deadlineis Friday, January 13th.
A few months ago we had my daughter's photo taken in her 1st Blackhawks Jersey. Yes she was bought a Blackhawks jersey when she was 1st born. My hubby is a HUGE Blackhawks fan so this only seemed fitting. Let me tell you the infant jersey's are so tiny but so ADORABLE!!!. We had several photos of her taken and now since she outgrew her jersey we had it mounted with a couple of photos. It is sooooo cute. My daugther and hubby love to watch the games. She now has a "Blackhawk" cheer so cute to watch a little 3 year old rooting for "her" team.
For this I used several different cartridges:
The squares sized at 5.25 x 7.25" and 5.5" x 7.5" - cut from George and basic shapes
The circle sized at 6"
The little hockey player is 5.5" and the gear was just layered accordingly from Everyday Paper Dolls
The hair was not the normal one for this person but it was also from Everyday Paper dolls.
The Stanley cup also cut from Everyday Paper Dolls at 6.5"
The letters are cut from Kate's ABC at 1.20 shaddow feature and then regular font feature.
I modified her hand from the side to across the front. (I did a little operation). I wanted her to hold the stick.
The stick was wrapped with brown/white twine (just like how they wrap the sticks in hockey).
All the paper is from SEI - "With all my heart" paper line. I didn't want just red and black and wanted to make it a little more girly so I chose this adorable little paper.
The cute little face is from Peachy Keen stamps
I stiched around the little uniform and Stanley cup. The 2010 on the Stanley cup is from when the Blackhawks took home the trophey.
I also will be entering this in the FABULOUS Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge which was to make something relating to sports. I was going to make a parenting layout - as that is a sport. (Teehee). You should visit Emma's wonderful blog and see her cool little sneak peak she is having - which means a new stamp set is coming soon.
