Peachy Keen Challenge...Color

OH my how I've missed doing challenges!!! This week over at Peachy Keen Stamps blog they are hosting a color challenge. I needed to make a card for a baby shower I was going to so I thought the cute little duck die/stamp set I bought a few months back was perfect. After all the little one is hatching soon. :)  My friends have elected not to find out the gender of the little one so I wanted to make a card that would fit either.


Then I remembered seeing the color/photo insipration theme from PKS and thought this paper would be PERFECT!! It is Echo Park Paper called Hello Summer. I just love the fun pretty colors of this paper it's awesome. (So much I bought 2 paper packs). My inspiration from the photo was the colors and if you look carefully - you can see the plants (moving) teeehee just like my duckling.

I used the Cottage Duck and Egg die set. (I must say love the fun little dies - w/ the face stamps). They are just as cute as can be.
I also used the lawn fawn polaroid die for the back ground frame.

The little duckling and put her/him on an action wobble. Just to make it more fun.

The ribbon is from American Crafts.

Echo Park Challenge #4 -- 10X the love

So I always love doing challenges and this one is probably one of MY FAVORITES. I love a "number" them - using 10 in this case. It's so fun because I normally use odd numbers. So this really made me think out of the box.

I used a couple of lines of EP Paper. I didn't have time to run to my local LSS and pick up any more so I combined lines.

I just love the Sweet Girl Collection it is one of my favorites and I mean favorites. LOVE the colors, the patterns. Well I'm in love with lots of EP collections.

I did a fun layout of my daughter. I used 10 flowers, and 10 leaves (I know 10 but I did 10 of each. I almost had 10 papers.. I think this one I wanted to keep rather simple as the photo is a favorite of mine. It captures the sweetness of my daughter yet is very feminine.

NDS Echo Park #1 Challenge... Hello Summer

So today I'm playing along with some online challenges if you haven't already guessed. I'm playing Carta Bella and also Echo Par. Which I will say are 2 of my favorite lines. I love the fun colors, the pretty papers and just the entire collection.

So for this challenge I made an easel card. Love how fun they are yet very simple to make.

For this one I used the Echo Park paper Hello Summer line. Just so fun.

The card is a 5x5 card when folded. I popped up a few of the elements. The sun, flower, and the sentiment.

I think it's pretty great and would be fun to give to someone who needs a summer pick me up.

Echo Park Sweet Blossom

A fun layout using the starburst pattern and the Echo Park Paper line Sweet Girl. This paper is just so perfect of my little girl.

I love the colors of the paper and fun flowers. This photo was taken my a great friend of mine for my daughter's 2nd birthday. I think this paper was ment just for this pretty dress. :)

I love the little sticker sheets and the Cute, Lovely, and Fun was part of the paper and I just cut it apart.

Our newest addition....

So a few weeks ago a friend of mine gave birth to a sweet little girl. So besides making a few other things for her and sending her a care package I thought I'd make a fun little card too.

The card is 6x6 (since it's going in a box w/ the other stuff I wasn't worried about bulkiness/size). I started with a piece of 6x6 Bella Blvd paper called Kiss Me. I've had it in my stash for a while now so I thought I better use it.

I created 3 panels - each patterned panel is 1.5 x 5.5 the mat is 1.75 x 5.75.
I then cut a piece of pink bazzill - 3" circle w/ scalloped edges.

I found a pretty ribbon in my stash and added that.

The lamb and sentiment stickers are from Echo park.

I'll be entering this in the http://frosteddesigns.blogspot.com/2013/03/fabulous-friday-challenge-scallops.html weekly contest. Talk about cutting it down to the wire for the entry. :)

What I do daily....

So this is the final Challenge for the Great Lakes Mega Meet. This challenge was a little more difficult - after all it's a challenge right? This was to create a layout featuring 5 things you do daily. I had to think about it for a few and then realized I didn't have any photos relating to what I do daily. So hence I took some. So here's the funny part - hubby isn't home so I had to set up the camera and do the "10 second" timer and quickly get in the photo. I had to laugh on the photos and how I "created" them. 

I actually stitched on my paper w/ a real sewing machine. I bet my home economics teacher would be proud.
Paper is all from Echo Park - I am loving this new paper line. It's pinks, greens, fun patterns, flowers etc.

I cut all the flags by hand.

The journal box says: 1) Chasing a very active toddler 2) Snuggling with my girl 3)cleaning up her mess (yes she does help but I have to clean up too). 4) surf the computer 5) and crafting.
Yes I normally every day get some kind of crafting in. I either will make a card, scrapbook, or even my daughter I an do a little craft. She loves to color, cut and gooooo (glue).

September Magazine Challenge

For this month the Magazine Challenge for the Cricut Circle Blog was to use any collection of paper from Echo Paper.

Let me just tell you this paper is so adorable I bought several paper packs a few months ago just because it was purely CUTE. I bought a total of 5 paper packs. (SHHH don't tell). Playground paper pack has to be one of my favorite papers: It has Hopscotch, Red Rover, Heads Up Seven UP, Jump Rope, Mokey Bars, Hide and Seek, Capture the Flag, merry Go Round. All of these papers remind me of my childhood.
I bought Playground paper pack to make something for my daughters Pre-School teachers. I had no clue what I was going to make and was just holding the paper. This challenge came along and I instantly thought about what I would make.
I made a cute little box, a pencil with a topper and a sticky note pad . I thought this paper would be perfect for this challenge.
The box is really simple to make but just takes a little practice and some cutting. I used a thicker weight bazzil paper for the base and then layered the Echo Park Paper on it.
I used my cricut to cut the cute little kiddos. They are all cut at 2.5" and are from Playtime cartridge. Can I just say these little kiddos are so adorable. I used Peachy Keen Faces for them.
I used the Echo Park Paper for most of the clothes.

The pencil toppers I made using my Martha Stewart score board -made 2 rosettes, and then topped them off with the cute little apple from Create a Critter. The scallop is from Art's Philosophy cut at 5". I added some star dust stickles to the leaves.

The sticky pad holders were made using Echo Park Paper and the scallop is from Art's Philosophy (love that cartridge) cut at 2" and the letters are cut from Country Life.

I really enjoyed making these little projects and hope her teachers love them too.
