PKS Challenge #11

Peachy Keen Stamps is hosting another weekly challenge. This time it is to make a 3D Object - Candy Container. Well what better then a cute little Easter basket. I mean seriously who wouldn't love this candy container.

I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and more 2 to make the cute little basket at 7 1/4". I did the box section 1 and box section 2 so I could make it a little bigger. (I will warn if you do FIT TO PAGE it will let you cut section 1 at 8 1/2"  but then only cuts the 2nd section at 7 1/4"). So you've been warned...

I cute PKS PK 440 Cute and Cuddly faces
The bunny is cut at 3" from Doodlecharms cartridge.
The scalloped circle is from Paper Trimmings and cut at 4".

I put 2 bunnies w/ bows and 2 w/o on the basket.

I  colored these cute little bunny faces with my copics and added some glossy accents. I actually drew on the pink inside ears.

I put some "shredded paper" in as a basket filler, added a few stuffed eggs (yes they have candy in them - mini tootsie rolls in them and mmm some smarties in Easter / Spring colors).
Once I made the basket I had to hide it.... Why???? Because a certain little 3 year old wants some.

Well I hope you enjoy and

Cricut Monthly Challenge - A year in review

Time for another Cricut Monthly Challenge - man where has January gone? Really?

This Month the theme for the Cricut challenge was to create a layout or a mini album focusing on the past year and reflect on what it has meant to me.
The past year was full of fun and adventure for my daughter. We did have a few ups/downs this past year but all in all it was allot of fun.
For my layout - I will admit - I HATE to journal - I normally just put a little blurb like the date of the photo and where it was. Well this year one of my scrap booking goals is to journal. As you can see in this photo I haven't done it yet. I do plan on doing it though.
This past year my daughter had allot of 1st. She saw a real show - Sesame Street Live. She ate her 1st OREO while taking her first international trip. (Yes I know it was only to Canada, but still outside of the US). She started Pre-school and was showing off her 1st backpack. She wore her pretty little dirndl and apron a friend bought her to the German Festival. She also was able to go and see and touch her 1st Real Monster truck.  So what better way to focus on the previous year then to scrapbook it.

I cut the little pockets at 4.25" wide, and the tags at 2.9 from Tags/bags,boxes, and more.
The little banners were cut at .50/1.0" Party Pick Pennants
The letters cut at 1.2" from Kate's ABC
The paper is from SEI A Fair Day. I thought it would be perfect for this layout since there was tons of colors. The pockets are double sided paper.
I tried to keep this simple as there was allot of photos for this layout - and I wanted to really use the little journal boxes from Emma's Stamps. I think it turned out so cute. Now all I need to do is... Journal.
